Nuria Iturrios from Spain joined a rare band of back-to-back Ladies European Tour winners by claiming the inaugural OMEGA Dubai Moonlight Classic, the world’s first ever professional day-night golf tournament, just five days after winning the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

This was Iturrios’s third LET title with rounds of 68, 67 and 71 for a total of 10-under 206 at Sir Nick Faldo designed Emirates Golf Club, Dubai.

“It’s amazing to win again and I’m so excited,” said Iturrios, who became the first player to capture consecutive titles since Aditi Ashok at the Indian and Qatar Opens in 2016. “Congratulations to Esther, Olivia and every player in the field. It was so cool. I loved playing in the first day-night tournament and I hope to come back next year.”

Itturios finished a shot ahead of the German duo of Esther Henseleit and Olivia Cowan, where Henseleit was tied for the lead entering the final round with the 23-year-old Spanish winner from Palma de Mallorca.

Diksha Dagar, only Indian in the field shot a final round of 2-under 70 for a total score of 1-over 217 to stand T-22 on the leaderboard with Florentyna Parker, Marta Sanz Barrio, Lina Boqvist and Beth Allen.

LET’s next stop is U.S. Women’s Open Qualifier, scheduled at Buckinghamshire Golf Club in England on May 7.
