Well this is a first time for the four time winner on the PGA TOUR, Rickie Fowler has changed his playing balls, he is shifting to Taylormade Tp5x from Titleist Prov1’s.
Fowler signed a multi-year deal with TaylorMade to play the TP5x balls on Monday, as confirmed by the ball manufacturer. He got impressed with the balls performance while playing along Dustin Johnson at the Ryder Cup and while he tried to hit TP5x’s, he found out that the way the ball behaved in the wind was quite extraordinary and that’s what he loved about it.
Fowler reached out to TaylorMade in the fall of 2018 and expressed an interest in playing the ball, which has already been put in play by Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy (TP5) and Jason Day.
30-year-old World No.11 Rickie Fowler last won at the 2017 Honda Classic, almost two years back.
