Paige Lee: Valley Forge Invitational

I spent my last week at the 2019 Valley Forge Invitational in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

The tournament hosted at the Raven’s Claw Golf Club, a great course to compete on. It was challenging yet set up well to shoot low scores.

My week definitely had its highs and lows. On the positive, I shot my lowest score for this year and saw my game trending in the right direction. I fired a 5 under par round of 66, par being 71. I was striking the ball well and hitting a lot of greens, which left me great opportunities at birdies. The second round I secured making the cut. I shot 1 under par to finish 6 under par going into the final round, putting myself in a good position to have a strong finish. Sadly, the last round did not go my way.

I finished the tournament at 2 under par, putting me tied for 41st. Overall I am taking the good and the bad and learning from this week. I had two under par rounds and saw a glimpse of my progress. I am very excited to capitalize on this momentum going into the next 4 Symetra events this month.

I just arrived in La Porte, Indiana tonight and will play my first practice round in the morning. I am beyond ecstatic to play in the Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club. Interesting fact I learned. In a matter of 30 mins I am between La Porte’s Central Time Zone and South Bend’s Eastern Time Zone.

Overall the experience playing on the Symetra Tour and traveling across the United States has been nothing short of a great adventure and I’m enjoying every minute of it, I am truly blessed to have this opportunity. Thrilled to finish these next four weeks strong.

Life on the road continues. Indiana this week followed by Illinois, Michigan and ending the stretch in Ohio.
