My week at Zimmer Biomet and the road ahead

0

Hi, guys am back with my another story from the road, and this time although I missed the cut, I surely got out and saw more of the beautiful and historic Philadelphia, sharing my journey with you.

From tornadoes warnings in Muskogee, OK to the heat and humidity in Opelika, Alabama. This past week has had one exciting adventure after another.

The Zimmer Biomet Championship was held at the Grand National Robert Trent Jones Golf Lake Course. It was a beautiful and challenging layout.

Unfortunately, the week fell short as I did not advance to the final two rounds of the event. Disappointed would be an accurate statement of how I felt my performance was for the week. Too many mistakes that lead to a missed cut. But as my coach always says, “there is no success without failures.” With that, he advised me to take the next day off and make a road trip up to Pennsylvania now with three days to travel. I made the best out of my situation.

Independence Hall Philadelphia

This gave me the opportunity to take my time and explore cities I have never been too. Early Saturday morning I drove to Atlanta, Georgia. I got to see the perfect view of downtown Atlanta from the Jackson Street Bridge. It was breathtaking standing on the bridge having seen photos in the past being where it was taken was truly exciting. Not to mention, TV series such as the Walking Dead and movies like Baby Driver and Hunger Games were filmed in this city.

Sunday afternoon I took the time to visit Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and explore sites such as the Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Independence National Historic Park that had Commodore John Barry U.S.N remembrance statue. It was awe-inspiring to be in such a historical city. Getting this see these landmarks and reading about their history was amazing.

As fun as my tourist road trip was, I am excited to play in the Valley Forge Invitational held in Pottstown, Pennsylvania for the ninth week on the Symetra Tour. First round kicks off Friday May, 28, 2019.

The road to the LPGA continues.
